Sad news

I just found out that my dear neighbor Sara has had a recurrence of the lung cancer we thought she had beat last year. Today was her first chemo. treatment and her husband told me she is doing well so far, just tired.

This same neighbor has macular degeneration, with very little sight left, and has a service dog. Sara is an artist and it is heartbreaking to visit and see all the beautiful paintings hanging around the house and realize that she can't even see them anymore. She never complains, is always charming and gracious and fun to be with.

Please join me in adding Sara to your prayer lists, candle lightings, etc. She is truly a worthy person and the world would be a little less bright without her.

Talk about maternal dedication

This takes it to an extreme.
